About VerifNow
VerifNow is a validation API for the fields billing and onboarding forms depend on. This page says who operates it, where it runs, and how to reach a person.
What we build
- One API key validates EU VAT numbers against VIES, IBANs, national IDs, emails and phone numbers — one quota, one bill.
- When a member state's VAT registry is down, we answer from the last confirmed result instead of rejecting your customer. We publish how often that happens on our VIES status page.
- When your VAT number is on file, every EU VAT check is kept with its VIES consultation number, for 30 days to 10 years depending on your plan.
Where it runs
- API and database: OVHcloud servers in Québec (Beauharnois), with encrypted backups in Ontario (Toronto).
- In front of the API: Cloudflare, for the network proxy, security and rate limiting.
- Website, documentation and dashboard: Vercel.
- Payments: Stripe. Sign-in: Clerk.
